"After a long day out in the desert, you don't want to squeeze back into a noisy hotel room on the highway. You want your own space — a real kitchen for real meals, a private porch for morning coffee, and a comfortable bed waiting."

Every month at Edge of the Desert, we shine a spotlight on one of our 22 custom tiny homes — and this month, it's all about Corona Arch Cabin #04. Named after one of Moab's most beloved natural landmarks, this cabin is more than a place to sleep. It's a basecamp built for the kind of trip you'll actually remember.

And this month? You could win a free night here. More on that below. 👇

The Arch That Inspired It All

Corona Arch is the hidden gem that Moab regulars keep coming back for. A massive, sweeping sandstone arch tucked just off the Colorado River corridor — and unlike most of Arches National Park, there's no entrance fee and no timed entry ticket required. You just show up and go.

The 3-mile round-trip trail follows an old railroad grade before climbing slickrock to reach not one but three arches: Bowtie, Corona, and Pinto. Corona itself is big enough to fly a plane through — and people have. It's the kind of place that makes you stop mid-trail and just stand there.

A few things to know before you go:

  • The trailhead is off Highway 279 (Potash Road) — about 10 minutes from Edge of the Desert
  • No national park pass required — this is BLM land and always open
  • The trail is 3 miles round-trip with some slickrock scrambling — wear sturdy shoes and bring water
  • Morning hikes are cooler and quieter; the arch catches golden light in the late afternoon
  • Arches National Park, Canyonlands, and Dead Horse Point are all within easy reach for a full park-hopping itinerary
